All right, maybe to lighten the mood after the funeral, here's is a first attempt at playing my arrangement of "Avadim Hayinu" ("We Were Slaves"), a Passover song.

It's definitely very rough around the edges; it's late here and I'm a bit sleepy, but it's probably enough to give you an idea of what it's supposed to sound like. I thought it best to post before the end of the challenge too.

Roni Glaser That was great Roni. What a dramatic arrangement. Great job. I hope you are notating the facial expressions in the score 😁

I just posted a video here - it says it's "pending review" is that normal? Is that because it's a video?

    • Roni Glaser It happens to me once in a while too. Some word of yours must have tripped the algorithm in the computer.

Eric Phillips Right, maybe it was confused by the title. Or probably funerals and slavery had put it in a bad mood. :)

Here are updates on the Lutoslawski arrangements of 2 folk melodies. A bit cleaner though still needs much work. I have been trying to update the Chopin and Schubert but so far my efforts are not satisfactory. Hopefully.......

Blaise Laflamme These are from a collection of twelve transcribed by Raymond Burley thru Boosey and Hawkes. I just noticed that SheetMusicPlus has the collection by a different transcriber but I know nothing of that one. I first heard them on a Julian Bream Album of modern music. There are some real gems in the collection. Would make a nice suite.

Roni Glaser Thanks Roni. I first heard these on a Julian Bream album of Modern Music. This particular is transcribed by Raymon Burley.

Ok, so this will probably be my last update before showtime (it's 11:45 pm). This recording went fairly well until the last few measures - and then I thought 'I've made it, all I need to do is get thru the last few measures...." Well, we see how well that worked out. If you stop it at around 3:15 you'll be doing yourself a favor.

Eric Phillips Thanks Eric. I don't know why there are 2 postings. But at least both were 'unlisted' so I seem to have matured that part.

Blaise Laflamme Thanks Blaise. Yeah those chromatic scales get me sweating 😰, and for good reason. I almost made it. I am using the Apogee MiC+.
