With greatest excitement we start into the new year with a fantastic new Challenge, the Playing Transcriptions Challenge! Over the course of this month, we will take a step outside the comfort zone of guitar composers and explore pieces that have been transcribed for the classical guitar!

Have you ever missed some repertoire for the classical guitar?

Did you ever think: Why didn't Beethoven or Schubert write something for the classical guitar?

Well, you are not alone, some of the greatest guitarists until today have asked themselves theses questions and decided to take matters into their own hand and transcribe music that was not originally composed for the classical guitar. In this Challenge, we want to explore that repertoire!
