Brouwer Pieza sin Titulo #2 Now that my concert performance is over I will devote more time to this challenge. This (technically) simple piece by Brouwer has its challenge in creating a coherent atmosphere within its very sparse structure. I feel I am still not there. There are a few bobbles and hesitations which are more noticeable in a piece like this.

Barrios – Oración (Apr 10 update) I feel like I have made some progress on this one. It still has the same trouble spots, but I can play them a little more consistently now. The B section in D minor is clearly the biggest struggle, so I need to work on that in isolation. The problem is, by the time I get to that section, my hand is already quite sore from all that precedes it. In addition, since playing this hurts my hand so much, I really cannot record it with my typical 40-50 takes, as my hand would fall off. As a result, you're hearing it with plenty of mistakes.

Barrios - Estilo Uruguayo (Luz Mala) Here's another piece by Barrios I decided to work on. It's new to me, and I like the idea of playing some lesser-known pieces by Barrios. This one is very dramatic, at least when played well (check out Jeffrey McFadden's performance on YT). It still needs lots of work, but I really like it.
