Eric Phillips I firs heard the song of Gaitano Veloso and his band- a video out of the ninetees. I ccied into my cushion and could not sleep alnight. So I had to find it. I hope, some day I can play an arrangement, that represents it more. Its Piazzola!!!arranged by Gary Ryan

Stefanie Mosburger-Dalz If you found the spirit once, you can find it again! He is living inside you, don't worry! The technique is only a way to enable sensibility to speak. In Spain people call this "Duende". You have yours, don't worry, just give him a voice.

Stefanie Mosburger-Dalz Very nice Stefanie. Is this the Gary Ryan arrangement? I have just commented on one of Eric's videos that I play the piece slower than him, this one I play more quickly than you - a strange world :-). I like the way you play it .

Derek yes, Gary Ryan. I think, it should be faster, but I am not shure enough to play it faster, may be sometimes in the future I will play it faster. Erics playing is always absolutely convincing to me- no one plays like an other person, so each song is always new, thats so good, although its a strange world;-)

I have been out of town for a few days but am happy to see such great pieces being posted. I thought I would join the challenge this week by posting a few Antonio Lauro pieces. I was fortunate to have met Maestro Lauro back in 1984 and had a chance to play for him a couple of times. Additionally, I was his US agent briefly in the mid-1980s and assisted in the publication of two pieces with Guitar Solo Publications in San Francisco. The following post is a nice little Estudio by Lauro, entitled La Catira. It is in three parts, of which I am performing only the first part, Acordes.

Dale Needles That's wonderful, Dale! If you hadn't told me, I would not have guessed that it was Lauro. That is a real lesson in harmony. Beautiful chords!

Blaise Laflamme Thanks. I will probably move on to some other Lauro pieces this week and then on to Carlevaro in the following weeks. Nevertheless, you should check it out La Catira. It is a nice little study. The second part is the same theme in an arpeggio and the third part is in tremelo.

Eric Phillips Thanks. I know it does not immediately say Lauro, but when you delve into Lauro's works, you find a lot of nice gems like this beyond his incredible valses.

Julio Sagreras - Nostalgia Op 19 No 3
Sagreras is, of course, known for his method books, but he also has some nice repertoire pieces at all different levels. This is more on the beginner end, and therefore perfect for me!

Eric Phillips Great! Sagreras has many good compositions, mas as you said, everyone knows him because of his method! I still think that you can risk more...

Moyses Lopes Thanks, Moyses. I played this mostly just because I like it. I enjoy discovering simpler pieces much more than trying to play very difficult pieces.
