I posted this to week 3 in error, so posting again here.
This version of the Prelude was done by Ponce for Segovia to bring out the music using the capabilities, beauty and poetry of the modern day guitar. I first heard it while watching (with my father) a Segovia Masterclass series on TV filmed in Santiago de Compostella, Spain in I think about 1965. Segovia played this for his students. IMO, it was a magical guitar moment.
I have played the bare bones version, but always wanted to learn this one. It was more difficult than expected and is still in process. Here it is!

But this version…. I don’t like the beginning with that repeated base like a march… no… -
Emma Thanks Emma! I only had time to do one take, and upon playback I see some problems, including the unwanted pause after the first measure, and some other spots. Still working on it.
I appreciate you mentioning your dislike of the repeated base notes in beginning.....perhaps I should try to use less thumb nail on the low sixth string and play it softer, so it's less prominent.

This version of the BWV930 is at 105 BPM, and the video was better edited (at least is what I guess...). I like this prelude at this BPM, it's more "crunchy"...

BWV 996 Allemande
This is a pretty shaky recording of the first Lute Suite Allemande. I hope to try and get a better recording later tonight but I have not had good luck in trying to record this. At least it is the full Allemande and there are moments that hold up.
