This gavotte en rondeau is a very tricky piece. I practiced it for these three weeks, but I’m not there yet. The recording situation still makes me nervous and the nerves gave in during the last verse, unfortunately. I cannot make a second take now. It’s such a great piece, I will keep working on it. There’s a lot to say about the ornaments. I had to make a choice, but might change my views later.

Brava Joosje for posting so many movements from the third violin partita, BWV 1006, also known as the 4th Lute Suite, BWV 1006a. Very beautiful playing. As with any of the Bach sonatas, partitas, and suites, the last one in the set is usually the most virtuosic. I used to listen for hours of recordings of John Williams playing this suite on the guitar. Congrats!
