Alright everybody, today we dive into virtually duplicating yourself, enable you to record a duo with yourself! 
Virtual chamber music recording has grown quite significantly since people all around the world suddenly weren't able to meet, perform, practice and record together anymore, so today we'll explore the creative possibilities for virtual guitar duos!

Learn how to virtually duplicate yourself within a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and produce a duo recording single-handedly or with your socially distanced chamber music partner! Since chamber music has suffered greatly from current restrictions, ensembles worldwide suddenly were no longer able to publish any creative output. But with the magic of digital audio production, we will learn how to create a guitar duo "in the box"!

I hope you are feeling better soon.
I had a go at doing this last year (before I got my green screen). First attempt is attached the timing goes a bit astray. I was going to use a click track but there was some reason why I couldn't do it (I can't remember why). I had another attempt for a project last Christmas but there was a bit of tricky bit in the piece I was recording and I kept playing one section too fast and I ran out of time so I've put it aside until next Christmas. Would be fun to start it again now that I've reorganised my equipment and bought a green screen.

Gokce Turkmendag Hi Gokce. Sorry about that. The room where my computer is is quite small so it is difficult to get a full picture without something else to the side of the picture. I'll try again today. Perhaps I could crop it to remove anything that shouldn't be there.
The music is from 'An Album of Spanish and South American Songs' arranged by Len Williams. I don't know if Buenos Reyes is a Spanish or a South American song so I suppose we could be in either place :-)

Derek if you don't mind to take a video again that will be great, but if cannot, that wouldn't be a big problem. I had planned to put a header on the top of the video and minimize the total area.
I think the sound is good enough, but I forgot to make right/left panning so that it doesn't have a depth. I can do it before the final step.

Gokce Turkmendag Hi Gokce. I managed to do another video but the audio is a bit quiet. I've been busy today so I won't have time merge the audio with the video so I'll do it all again tomorrow. I'll find some background photos and send them.

Gokce Turkmendag Hi Gokce. I've done another recording. Just need to trim the beginning and the end and then I can send it to you. I exported it in high quality so the file is too big to load on here. Are you OK if I send it via a service called 'We Transfer' I've used this a few times. I just load the file on there and then give your email address as the recipient and you get an email which gives you the download link. It's very secure. Let me know if you don't want to do it this way. Thanks Derek

Derek I am OK with we transfer. but I you already got it from Google drive, there is no problem. Thanks for the new video, I will try recording on it again.

martin Gokce Turkmendag Hi Martin we've been working on this for a few weeks - we had to pause for a while until I got my new computer as my old laptop couldn't handle the video processing. Here is our latest version - hope you like it :-)

Hello martin , I recorded a duet with my evil twin sister and also made a video
I used green screen but I think the light was not right so that my hair is a little greenish 
I had to edit some parts which we didn't synchronized well. Recording and editing: Ableton Live, some filtering and reverb, for each guitar separately
Mic: Mono Audio Technica, placed at the same locations for each part
Video editing: Filmora9

It's a pity I am completely ignorant of technical matters. I don't know video recording, I don't have a camera but a phone and I don't have a microphone. I can't get my head on all these plugs and cables. Not to mention the green screen!
That's one of the reasons why I didn't take part in the recording challenge - it's too complicated for me
