Le Support Voyager

Has anyone tried the  new smaller guitar support from Thomas Viloteau  called Le Support Voyager?  Looks interesting....

I took your advice and got the Le Support (large one).  I agree with you that it is the most stable of all of them I've tried.

However, if you want to put down the guitar for a minute or so, how to you do that?   The guitar with Le Support attached cannot sit safely on the guitar stand...  I've been getting up, going to the next room and placing the guitar with soundboard facing down on the sofa.

Thanks again  for your great advice!!

I'm glad you like it, you ordered it on time, I just read a few minutes ago that LeSupport is stopping their shipments to the USA for now!

Yes, I was aware of the timing of tariff sand anticipated the delay.  I got the order in just in time.  Hope it is resolved soon.

Any suggestions about putting the guitar down  for a moment with the support attached?

      Thanks Blaise!

I'm more used to putting my guitar in its case, I've seen too many things happen to my friends' guitars, otherwise I put it on my bench.

Okay.  I guess there doesn't exist a guitar stand that can safely accomodate Thomas' creation. Although in his video --in the background, it looks like a guitar with the support attached sitting on a stand.  Thomas does not answer my emails...

      Thanks Blaise!!

Maybe you can use a stand that grips on the neck, like an electric one?

Is that safe for a Classical guitar?

I bought mine with an extra set of suction cups and an extra foam rubber end piece because I was afraid something crazy like this might happen. I'm spoiled now that I have a Le Support.

Never tried, I'm not a big fan of guitar stands.

John- What do you do with you guitar with Le Support attached, if you need to stop playing  and put the guitar down for a moment or so?

The one I have is a K&M and as far I can tell it works, that's mostly the support that touches the stand at the bottom but as long as the suction works then it's good enough.

For just a moment, I leave it attached and put it on a padded chair in a room where I know there is no chance that someone will try to sit there. For more than a moment, I take it off and put the guitar in the case.

I guess the K&K works as long as the guitar with Le support attached rests on it for only a very short time, otherwise the suction may fail due to overall weight pulling sideways against the suction cups...

      Thanks for the suggestion!

      Got it.  Thanks John!

I see this Zither stand available on GSI guitars, but it is expensive.  Do you think the Le Support  may hang freely and not touch the wood, while the  top hanger holds the guitar neck up?

Are you familiar with this one?

I had a friend that actually put her new Ramirez 1A on the floor (it was carpeted and she was sitting on the floor next to it) but then she knocked the steel music stand over, and it penetrated the top of the guitar. Oops!

OMG... you never know what's going to happen... that's why I prefer to remove the support and put my guitar in the case.

Yes, the more I think about it, I agree with you both.   Even with this beautiful Zither, if the suction cups come loose from gravity, it can cause damage.

      Thanks for the advice, guys!

Just wanting to share our next Mastering Tricky Passages Stream, we have so far only one submission (and one submission from  from the prior stream), would be great to have a bit more material!
