Michelle Roper Thanks Michelle.  I've watched this in the past.  Brad's review discusses the original Le Support.  The new one is the Le Support Voyager ,which is a smaller , more portable version which Thomas claims to be 70% as effective as the original.  I currently have the Guitar Lift which is not as stable as I'd like since it doesn't contact both legs...

      Barney Hi Barney

My apologies for the mix up. I looked at this guitar lift and I agree it is big and bulky. I personally use Guitar Lift. Which is similar. I have the medium size and it's not that bad to carry around. It fits into my music bad with my music. Good luck and please post your thoughts if you get the Le Support Voyager. I would love to know your thoughts.

      Cheers

I got one a few months ago. Best guitar support I have seen in 63 years of playing. More stable, and it seems to make the guitar sound better because the human body is isolate from the back of the guitar. I got the strap also, but I did not find any improvement from the strap, so I just use the Le Support as is.

John Mardinly John- Is your the original large one, or the smaller "voyager" version?

If you also have the Guitarlift, how does it compare?

      Thanks for your advice!!

When I bought it, there was only one size. I have used over the years just my knee (terrible), the cushion (better but wobbly), Ergo play (better yet, but the suction cups destroyed the French polish on my Velasquez, and now Le Support. I noticed that many students at ASU also use Le Support, and after watching the video I decided to try it, and love it.

Oh, I didn't know there is a new one! I haven't had the time to properly adjust my regular support yet, something I'd like to tackle soon!

    Hi Barney,

I was very curious about this product. Since I had some scrap of plexiglass in the garage, I wanted to test it out first by building a similar stand. I only bought some standard suction cups and secured them with wire (see image attached in the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z_g2FuGa5CVUY4WEOk8ZYCWn9hGuNqpQ/view?usp=sharing).
I have to say, it's very very convenient! The Viloteau stand also has the plus option of using a strap to keep the guitar perfectly still without using your hands, giving you even more precise control over your guitar. I think I'll buy the original one in the future.

    Cheers,

    Tommy

Very cool, Tommy!    Does it only touch you left leg?

Thanks! Yes, it's shaped to rest on the left leg keeping the guitar on the correct angle. It is quite balanced because if the left hand is free the guitar remains in place. A little rude but effective. 😄

I just came across this one on the Guitar Salon Int'l site called  the "Embracing Guitar Ergonomic Support" for U.S.$90.00.  It also contacts both legs.

Have any of you tried it?

Are you referring to this one? It looks like a cheaper version with far less ways to adjust... what are you looking for, and what you don' like about LeSupport?

Hey Blaise!  Yes, I saw that on GSI.  I have not tried any of these particular supports.  The Le Support looks quite large, so I was wondering about the "Voyager" smaller version...Any opinion about it?    I am currently switching off between the GuitarLift  and a Cushion.  I need to improve my posture and playing position with more stability.  Thanks!

Well the fact that it seems large is relative and also depends on your current use IMHO, if you're mostly at home it's a no brainer, and if you're traveling or going out it easily fits in a backpack, or I prefer to just plug it right on the back of my guitar case.
