Hi everyone, here is my warm up piece- LaGrima. As I mentioned a bit above, I have learnt Lagrima and Recuerdos de la Alhambra. I am posting this La Grima as a warm up, thanks to the nice suggestion from Blaise Laflamme . I am choosing to work on Adelita and Gran Vals in this challenge. In the next few days, I will post my progress about Adelita :) Look forward to seeing your progress also; hope we can all motivate each other :)

  Martin thank you so much Martin. I haven't been aware that I have played it much differently than the "normal" way. The reason could be that when I first learned it, I based only on my own view to shape the rubato and the dynamic based on my own feeling - I did not have something as a "normal way to play" as a reference dynamic to mimic. So it is my very own interpretation, and I feel good about it.

Still working on Prelude no. 1. It is definitely easier as I settle into a consistent fingering pattern. Also, the measures 3 - 5 are also easier (still not what I would call easy, but thank you for the tip Martin on measure 4 using the 2nd finger as the guide finger; it also helps stabilize that chord as well, and helps with intonation I think...).

Difficulty - definitely trying to maintain a nice legato while adhering to the dynamics.

Initially, I was going to work on Maria, a piece I have not done yet. But since I’m traveling, I did not have enough time to work on it. So I decided to do a piece I’ve done plenty of times before. Etude in E minor.
I’ll work on Maria for later on this week(:

  Devyn McCrea Well done! This piece starts out so gentle, but then this damn jump into the B-Major7 with that A on top! You did a great job on this one, I especially enjoyed your contrasts (and the ending, haha!)

  Martin thank you! Totally forgot to mention what I found hard/easy.
  Doing the arpeggios with my right hand is what I find easy. But that jump to the B maj7 is a bear. And playing this at a higher tempo is challenging! I’ve never been a fast player, but that’s what I wanted to work on with this etude.
