  • Though I would post an update on some video practice I've been doing on Sor's Fantasia in E Minor, Opus 21 (โ€œLes Adieuxโ€).  Trying to play with a bit more expression given the musical drama of this superb piece!  Grew a beard to help me along.

  • Thought I would post the progress I've made over the last 4 months with Sor's "Les Adieux."  I have finished a video performance that was helpful to put together. I always find new solutions to difficult transitions, elimination of annoying squeaks, as well as smoother connections of phrases this way. It might take me a few weeks before getting down to the final takes but the process of performing in front of a camera is invaluable in my mind. Hope you enjoy!

  • Blaise LaflammeJUAN ALONSO  Many thanks for listening/watching and your encouraging words. Juan, my main set up is two Line Audio C4 condenser mics going into an Apollo x8 interface. I use reaper as my DAW for recording and editing.  I gained a lot of helpful tips from watching Martin Zimmy's excellent Recording Course here at Tonebase.

    Happy playing,

    Rick
