Could be...in any case, it's frustrating.  (sorry, I'm venting...)

I was joking... Martin is normally very pro-active and answers quickly, so I suspect he was more than busy lately... but for the admin/team account I still wait for an answer to a question I sent them three weeks ago! 😅

I know you were joking, but the lack of any response is inconsiderate to our community.  no joke.  Wondering if the message is "out of order".  I sent Martin a question about a setting in DaVinci Resolve over a month ago and no reply.

I am just speculating here ... I am not sure if Martin does double-duty as an IT developer for Tonebase. From all of the surveys and beta-test opportunities that many of us have gotten recently, I know that Tonebase is working hard on an AI-enabled platform. Perhaps Martin has been very busy because he has been contributing to that effort? People here who are in the world of IT might know how time-consuming it is to refine an AI model, and Tonebase is on the path to recommending entire lesson plans based on your guitar-related interests.

For what I understand he's the audio-guru, recording every production across the whole platform.

Also possible there's some problem related to email routing between you and Tonebase, I mean a lot of pro/non-pro email services are not well configured or to loose/straight on spam management.

I get the lack of response is frustrating. Not long ago I got locked out entirely for a few days and couldn't get a response. It was actually Blaise and Martin who ended up helping me out. I used to be a project manager and traveled installing IT systems, and the biggest expense customers balked at was customer support. A dedicated, responsive staff costs money and I try to remember I'd rather have a slow response that occasionally loses something in the cracks than have my annual payment increased. Just a thought.

You're right, it's hard to get the right balance for customer support, and here we kind of have two different products with different expectations, the «App» and the «Community».

No problem, Martin. I think we were just a bit worried. I've even sent a mail to you today. Excited for the stream.

Hey Martin, glad we're doing this one again.

I've worked on Brouwer's Preludios Epigramaticos on and off for years, and I've never come up with a good solution for this phrase from #3. The highlighted notes are the melody, which is a repeat of the opening phrase. I always struggle with bringing out the melody notes within the chords, especially the first B, balancing the sound of an open string against the notes in 7th position. If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it!

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for doing this again. This little excerpt is from Thomas Fellow's Medusa. You can find a few videos of this piece on YouTube. I like the version that Jule Malischke played.

My issues are the LH fingerings after the fermata in measure 81. The tabs are published in the score by Thomas Fellow himself. The tempo of this piece is fast, so I need to do the optimal LH fingerings.

I have seen Jule play the high E (12th fret, 1st string) with her thumb, something that I have not previously seen in classical guitar playing. I am also not sure if the A-to-E from fret 17 to fret 12 should be a pull-off.

I can really use some professional advice here.

    Danke,

    Marc

I just uploaded a small video in which I did the lick starting at measure 82.

I am keeping my thumb on the 1st string 12th fret. I am playing the first string, 17th fret with my third finger. And with fingers 1 and 2, I am playing the notes on the 14th and 15th frets.

Thanks Martin for doing this. I won't be able to join live but I'll watch the replay. There is this arrangement of a Vietnamese folk song Beo dat may troi arranged by Pongpat Pongpradit that I'm trying to learn. I've attached both my fingering and a clean copy for your reference. From bar 52 to 68. Mainly 4 problem areas that I need your advice on:

    1. Was trying to connect the B to the E using 4 finger to gliss over but that will mean the not playing in time but i can't think of any better fingering to connect that 2 notes.

    2. right hand using a-m-a-i to play the appregio it feels unnatural but it keeps the right hand in shape(not needing to move) not sure if I should keep it or change it.

    3. 3 and 4 is the same just if you have time left check if my fingerings are something you will advise to use?

    Once again thank you!

Looks like there was a time glitch between the forum  and the main site.

The main site is saying 9:00 am PT (Pacific time) which is 12:00 Eastern time (Montréal)

The forum is saying 11:00 Am GMT-4 which convert to 11:00 Eastern Time (Montréal)

      I guess we missed it.....
