Marina Krupkina and her Decacorde

Marina Krupkina, the amazing guitarist who performs the Nikita Koshkin etudes for the tonebase community challenge, is known for recordings/videos on her 10-string guitar, or Decacorde.  I would love to learn more about this, the challenges and advantages of playing it, and why she chose this unique instrument.

Martin Fantastic, yes, there seem to be a lot of different ways of tuning the four extra strings, none of which I find particularly satisfactory :(

In fourths seems natural, and needs a re-entry string, which separates the instrument into two parts; the way Yepes did it just for extra resonance seems to waste the fact you've got four extra strings that you could do so much with...

I think I might end up shifting all the strings down one peg and trying to find a higher string like an A to add to it, but I think that'll only end up confusing me completely.😓

Roni Glaser I once had 7-String guitar in my hand and was absolutely confused, I cannot even begin to comprehend the change when performing on a 10-string!
