(Guitar arrangement) Merry Go Round of Life - Howl's Moving Castle
Hi everyone, just found this place where we can share our own arrangements here. I don't compose music, but I loved to transcribe and arrange music for guitar when I had (a lot of) time, this was one of the pieces I transcribed and arranged last year, it's from a Japanese animation called Howl's Moving Castle.
My playing was not good, and I recorded with a simple portable mic (I haven't watched the great Martin's recording course at that time), so the quality was not very good. Just wanted to share it with you all.

Debbie Thank you Debbie. This piece was composed by one of the most famous Japanese composers - Joe Hisaishi. Yes, arranging is fun because you can always make difficult parts easier

Wai this is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I love this piece and awesome job! I love a lot of Japanese anime / FF music especially those from Studio Ghibli. I actually bought this particular music sheet (arr by Koseki) just couple of months ago when I saw Kaori Muraji played it on youtube. It is on my to do list when I am good enough to play it.

don Thank you, Don. I have seen this version before (but in another video), her performance was stunning and the arrangement was super crazy, which included the movement of the inner voices (from 1:35)!! My arrangement was far simpler and maybe some of the places were wrong because I transcribed most of the parts by ear. (I am still not sure if the ending progression is right or not)

Incredible, Wai! I’m sorry I didn’t check this out sooner. What a gift you have for arranging. I’ve never heard the music, but like Moyses said, it sounds like it was written for guitar, which I think is the goal when arranging. Listening to it and looking at the score, you could have convinced me if you had said this was an arrangement by Tarrega. You should look into publishing your arrangements.
