Thomas Viloteau "on warming up"

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to figure out the exact left hand independence exercise that Thomas Viloteau plays near the end of his On Warming Up video.

It looks like it might be based on something by Pujol, but I haven’t been able to find the original anywhere.

Does anyone know If this exercise comes from a specific Pujol method or study?

Or if there’s a TAB or notation of exactly what Thomas is playing in the video?

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated,

Thanks in advance!

Carlos

This exercise is also in Thomas’s book. Also, he talks about it in his livestream about technical exercises, I think he shows it with the notation on screen…

Thank you, do you know where can I get Thomas’s book?

The exercise is in the Tonebase Livestream called "Thomas Viloteau:  Finger Workout".. It starts at time 45:03.  It shows the pattern on screen (you can do a page print if you like).  The full pattern always begins at 5th fret. It is  done on 2 strings starting with strings 6 &5.  Full Pattern then repeats with 6&4, 6&3, 6&2, 6&1.

    Hope that helps!

the pattern is (alternating string 6 and 5) finger 1-2-3-1-2-3-4-2-3-4 that is: finger 1 on string 6, finger 2 on string 5, finger 3 on string 6, finger 1 goes to string 5 etc. etc.

      Yes, that's correct!

Joosje - I don't have the black box book, do you?
