Brazilian rhythms are commonly known as Samba and Bossa Nova. I am curious about the description of the others: Choro, Frevo, Baiao. What differences and similarities, and is Bossa Nova just a slower version of Samba?

Mircea Great workshop! It felt like talking to an old friend :-) I think that there should be more workshops like this on Brazilian rhythms.

Hey! Great live stream today! Thanks to both of you!

I really liked the examples of the rhythms at the beginning that we could follow along with. I'd love to see more of them in the next session.

Like everyone else, I really enjoyed this workshop. I don't know how tonebase produces its. courses, but it seems to me that Douglas has more than enough material for a three or four part series on Brazilian rhythm. That would attract a pretty large viewership, I would guess.

Just for the record, the remark I made in the comments about a 'laid back' voice was in fact referring to something that had been said about Joao Gilberto. Douglas has a pleasant voice, to be sure, but I don't think I'd describe it as 'laid back'.
