FINAL Composition Challenge MASTER SHEET! Get all sheet music here.

Hello everyone! 馃

As promised during our watch party, I've taken the liberty to compile all your submissions from all threads in the composition challenge into a single thread.

My intention was to use the latest version of all pieces you've submitted. If I've made any kind of mistake (either the version I included was not final, or you've made changes post-challenge, or I've simply messed up any of the links), please contact me!

Feel free to reply to this thread with any corrections or email them to me at [email protected] .

Alright, here we go!

I have finally made a video of my Etude 1 Hommage a Stravinsky. It is pretty rough but it is mostly intact (well.... sort of) If I make a more refined version I'll post it. I made a few (minor) changes so I included an updated score as well. I am very grateful to Ashley, Mircea and the Challenge community for your encouragement. It has really meant a lot to me.

Mircea Thanks so much for your comments. I am using Musescore and this is the first time I have ever used notation software.  I took your suggestion to heart and revised the score. There was no compositional reason for notating it that way (at least not that I remember). I probably assumed that it is how it was done. I'll post the revised score - probably tomorrow.

BTW, I might not be able to attend next week's session. I will actually be in LA. My daughter is graduating from USC (!) so my wife and I are going to visit her to celebrate. We fly back on Monday but won't get  back home to the afternoon. I'll listen later.

Thanks again to you and Ashley for all of your support and encouragement.

david robinson Thanks very much David. I just listened to your Variations, That was beautiful.

BTW, yesterday I was in a book store and saw a book written by Tansman on Stravinsky's music. (OK not particularly significant by somewhat coincidental)

Mircea Here is the updated score - I eliminated all of the tied eighths, otherwise everything else is the same. Thanks for the suggestion. It is much cleaner.

    • Jack Stewart Thank you for that performance Jack! Your piece is truly difficult but makes more sense when seeing you play it. Well done - hats off馃檶馃憤馃榾
