    Ferrer - Nostalgia (May 23)

I have continued working on this piece by Ferrer, and I'm pretty happy with it at this point. I recorded this one behind my desk where I teach.

Eric Phillips My vague memory of me in high school reminds me that I probably would have been no different. (Sigh)

I actually have heard an impressive version of Stairway to Heaven on acoustic guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmhV9KGsgoc&list=PLC460830FB5EAB9D4&index=15

But I shudder to imagine In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida on classical guitar.

Here is another mind boggling version of S2H:

Eric Phillips Really nice Eric. I have played a couple of Ferrer pieces - might have to bring them out of retirement!

Derek He's only 187 years old. Far too early to retire!

So Deep Is The Night (Extended Version) - Frédéric Chopin

Sorry for butchering this beautiful piece, but I had no intention to reproduce the full piano version on guitar (that would be impossible). When I arranged this piece, I was thinking of Lesley Garrett's version, so I vaguely followed the arrangement of that version. Hope that it still sounds good on guitar. Thank you for listening. 😌

Wai Great job, Wai! Sure you had a lot of work, it is a very pianistic piece but you got a great result. Thank you for sharing!

Wai Well, I think it's wonderful, Wai! Nothing about this is butchered at all. The section from about 1:35 - 2:30 looks pretty hard to play, but the arrangement is very beautiful.

Wai That was beautiful, Wai. Your arrangement sounds very good and your playing is excellent. Well done! Now on to Chopin's op. 10 Etude #3.

Moyses Lopes Eric Phillips Jack Stewart Thank you for listening. You guys are amazing, always so supportive, and friendly. Sharing music with you all is much more enjoyable than arranging and playing music itself. 🤩

    Ferrer - Minuet Op 38 No 1

Here's a short and straightforward piece by Ferrer. It does have a few tricky slurs.

Eric Phillips You have great control over this piece! I especially like how you controlled the dynamic this time, very natural and musical.👍
