Hola amigos!

this list of tutorials from Spanish composers available on tonebase should help find you enough material for the exploration of Spanish music 🔥

Here are some examples of our most popular and recent productions:

If you are looking for scores that are freely available, I'd recommend to check out the catalog of IMSLP or Boije collection!

Where do you usually buy your scores from?

  • Yes.  These will keep me off the streets for a while.  I buy my sheet music from Strings by Mail, GSP, Sheet Music Plus, LACG and Spanish Guitar Centre Nottingham.

These selections are far above my beginner level.

    • Jack Stewart I think I heard that a few may be coming. Personally, I don't think I have the chops to play anything by him. I'd love to someday, but not right now.

Eric Phillips Eric, you could certainly manage the "Tiento Antiguo'. Not easy to play as well as Ms. Muraji of course (link below) but definitely within your reach. The score can be found online, but I'm not sure about copyright, so I'll let you find it if you're interested. (Scott Tennant examines the scale passages in his famous book, 'Pumping Nylon'.)

    • David Krupka I actually did give that one a shot a year or two ago, but I just could not get a feel for the rhythms. Maybe I could give it another try.

Jack Stewart Hey Jack! You're totally right, we had to remove the Rodrigo lessons due to copy-right issues! 😬 That being said, we're working with Cecilia Rodrigo (Daughter of the Composer!) on bringing back some of the individual lessons (Tres Piezas Espanolas, En Los Trigales, Invocacion Y Danza, and a few more) and we are also in the process of securing the right for doing a production on the Aranjuez... ;) this might be a big one...

If you are interested in any particular piece, me or Martin will happily share a link with you!

igor That's very interesting. I would have thought that lessons on Rodrigo's works would generate more interest and sales. I am really glad to hear of negotiations. Thanks for the update.

I am working on En os Triangles for Martin's Music of Spain Challenge. When I post an initial video I'll mention this to Martin (the video will provide irrefutable evidence for my need for any lessons that are available 😊).
