Last week I practiced Espanoletas (Theme) by Gaspar Sanz (Thanks to this community challenge for introducing this great composer to me). I also found a lesson on Tonebase, but the version I have is different from the Tonebase version.
・Things I found easy: It is a short piece, so technically it is not hard to play.
・Things I found difficult: Ornaments! When & How to play ornaments on this piece was the biggest challenge to me. If I didn't pay attention to them, they would sound sloppy, however, if I paid too much attention to them, they would sound pretentious and forced, it was hard to find the sweet spot of it.
Another difficulty was my cat, she made some noises in the background which made me laugh during the recording. Fortunately, those noises didn't pick up by the microphones.
After I practiced the theme, I decided to practice the whole piece. Hope I can share with you guys next time.

Wai you did a great job on that piece...most notably I love the combination of this Pavana followed by Canarios.The ornaments sound well - it is not so easy to decide when to play what kind of ornamentation to bring some differences into the performance ( and at this point I am really wondering about my sentence in English

Olli Thanks for the comment. Yes, it was difficult to decide when what & how to play ornaments in classical music. I have watched 2 Tonebase lessons about ornamentation, and I found that it's a never-ending study, so I gave up and just followed the guideline on my score and went will the flow.
I fully understand what you said, don't worry, English is not my first language also, we are both foreigners here.

Stefano Thanks for your kind words. I only started recording myself, so I only used basic pieces of equipment. The microphones I am using are Lewitt LCT040 Match + Scarlett 2i2 audio interface and don't forget to watch Martin's great magnificent recording courses:

Martin Hello Martin, will there also be a week four in this challenge ? (21-27.02.) What is the deadline for uploading a recording - I am hardly working on pieces and the time is running away. I am also eagerly awaiting the delivery of my blue LED backlight for future recordings
