5 hours of classical guitar

I started learning the classical last night and couldn't stop watching tutorials and doing exercises. I managed to play twinkle twinkle little star! Yay.

You're doing very well for someone who's only been playing for a few hours, Claudia! You are already producing quite a good tone, which is arguably the most important element of guitar technique.  And you are consistently alternating your right hand fingers, a habit which eventually will become second nature. But you have the wrong mindset! You shouldn't be telling yourself 'this is so hard!' but rather 'I can do this!' (Having said that, whenever I start learning a new piece, I invariably find myself thinking 'this one is out of reach!' And yet I know from experience that with time things gradually do fall into place - all one needs is a little persistence!)

David Krupka thank you for the encouraging words! It means a lot :) I will stop telling myself it’s too difficult. You are absolutely right, mindset is everything 🥰

  • Welcome Claudia and I agree with David, this is impressive how everything flows naturally after just a few hours of playing 😮 I hope you'll enjoy the journey and share with us your progress! 👍💪
