Virtual Masterclass with Tárrega, Pujol and Vivaldi!
It is time for another VIRTUAL MASTERCLASS! I am super excited to bring back this exciting opportunity and unique virtual experiences for all community members who can't participate in the interactive classes!
Videos I will look at:
Eric Phillips Pujol: Becqueriana
mgshirk Prelude V by Franciso Tarrega
Steven Liu Vivaldo: Largo (Winter) from the Four Seasons
HOW VIRTUAL MASTERCLASSES WORK:
- You send in a video of yourself performing a piece, movement of a piece, or even a passage from a piece. Alternatively, you can submit a passage of sheet music for me to give you targeted advice on.
WHERE AND WHAT TO SUBMIT?
- Submit right here, by replying to this thread!
- You can either attach a video directly from your computer, or paste a link to a YouTube video
- (If you opt to use a YouTube video, it can be unlisted - no need to make it public!)
- Please also attach a link to the sheet music.
I hope you will find this opportunity as exciting as I do!
- What era of music would you have liked to experienced live (just from a pure musical perspective, haha)
-
I'll submit this short but beautiful piece by Emilio Pujol. From what I understand, it is a homage to Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, a late 19th-century novelist who influenced the Romantic nationalist movement in art, literature and music. The score is attached. I'd love to hear your thoughts on fingering, phrasing and musicality.
