Cadiz by Albeniz

I have been practising this for the Spanish music challenge. Not very happy with it but now is all memorized. I will go back  now to slow practice in the difficult passages, also will do intense slur technical work, and scales. I hope this work will show in my next video. Objective, ready to show in June, here we go!!!!

  • It's coming along well, Emma! This is such a long and difficult piece, but you are slowly making it come together. Most importantly, I think, you are giving it a strong and clear sense of rhythm, which this piece needs.

Really impressive work, Emma. I agree with Eric, this is a major work and you have it under your fingers very solidly. Great job. I am looking forward to seeing your progress.

Here is the second video. In some aspects I prefer the first but now it is well measured, especially the last part. Still long way to go, and I nearly go crazy to make this video. Thank you joosje for your kind words, you are so encouraging

    • Emma very good Emma!!! I have heard the first video now together again, and there is already an improvement ! ,the tempo or rythm here is better maintained and in some parts the voices are very good balanced , your left hand more sure.  You play very nice the first theme (tema) that it is repeated always again and invites to dream....It is really a very difficult piece. The end remembers me that of Granada (more difficult here but the same ascending effect) and at the end of the part A of Asturias there is something similar also. I have heard right now Gallardo del Rey playing it, the tempo is almost the same I think, have you heard him ? you must!!!!! very inspiring.... Continua!!!!! 💪
