Zee, good shout. Reading a spectrum, seeing where your tone really sits and where harshness sneaks in, is genuinely useful and almost nobody covers it for guitarists. I've noted it for a future recording-focused session. What are you recording with at the moment? 🎙️

I Think you play great-and the sound quality is great in my ears too. But I have no special insight in recording quality

That's a great recording with a great playing Zee! Overall its pretty good but for me there's too much reverb and the sound is bit too deaf, we lose definition of some notes, especially on the 3rd string, mixed with the resonance of the bass. Maybe you can post a video of this, that'd be great to see you in action!

IN the Livestream on toneproduction (Excellent) and the recording courses, all by Martin, use of spectrala analyses is taught.   Th recording courses were great but tended to be very long and unstructured with many interruptions. I think a more strict course without interruptions would be much appreciated by the community.

I think The Recording Courses are quite good, I learned a lot from them even though it contains some interruptions.

Sure the Recording Course is great and it was created while the community was participating in an activity over a few weeks. I think you're right that if   can produce a new standalone version, streamlined and focused, for clarity and reference would be a great addition.

I have watched those streams. And  I have the audio equipment, but no cameras. I wish/want to do some better recordings, optimally as good as yours.  But for now I just go with iPhone recordings

I think you can upgrade a bit with your current setup by using your audio setup for better audio, add a bit of colour adjustment for a better image and then bring back and sync the audio with the video... that's basically what I do if I omit the multi-cam and transitions!

😂 ... Maybe one day we could have a kind of workshop where we can experiment with all of this!
