WEEK THREE Updates: Main Thread - Where the magic triumphs!
Hellooo, everyone, and welcome to WEEK THREE - the final Main Thread for this challenge! 
Why is this thread necessary?
Because the Week 1 and Week 2 threads are now both officially monstrously long 
And navigating them can get tricky with the lack of multiple page display.
But Mircea - I hear you say - can we still post in the old thread?
Yes, of course! Feel free to reply to others in the old thread to your heart's content. Just make sure you post any new updates (whether text or video) in this thread instead.

- One thing you found easy: The polyphony between bass and treble flowed very naturally, I had an easy time playing each line like it belonged to its own voice.
- One thing you found difficult: I had a hard time creating enough variety throughout the repeated measures.

Etude I worked on: No 8
What I found easy: I've played this before a few years ago.
What I found hard: Trying to make the repeats more interesting. The the third and fourth sections are quite tricky and then the last section which is almost a repeat of the second section catches you out where it changes from the previous version of it. I messed up the repeat of the last section so I rerecorded just that section and replaced the bit I messed up in the first recording with the new recording - you can see the join! Sorry if the title sequence is a bit too long and I tried to make the video fill the frame but managed to crop my left hand from the picture.

- Etude I worked on: #07
An interesting and good arpeggio study, fun to play. I will practice that in the future. - One thing I found easy: structure, easy to follow
- One thing I found difficult: To play even (but not boring), well balanced arpeggios (and also chords). Due to a bit of a time pressure today (had not much time for recording and no warm up or practice before) I tried to play it with sightreading, but I needed four takes because I struggled in bar 3 the first time.

Funny one, with uncommon tuning of 6th string 6 to F.
Played sightreading due to some time pressure while recording on the last day of the challenge. I had 2 full takes, the very first one was stopped due to poor beginning. I know, that this is not the best condition for playing music... and I hope that this is not regarded as disrespect for Sor and his music.
Being more relaxed would be better.) - One thing I found easy: structure
- One thing I found difficult: Being well prepared for changes; and playing G in 2nd fret in bar 7, acting against the muscle memory build up in decades of playing a G in the 3rd fret of 6th string (or in the 5th if tuned in D).

btw: the (new) mic visible in front of last records has not been in use so far, so all my videos here were done with a smartphone. I hope that I can enrich the quality in the future by using the mic and reaper, using knowledge from Martin's recording workshop etc.

Robert Well played Robert. I've had a go at this but I can't play it well enough to record. I know what you mean about the G. It took me some time to realise that the B flat was on the fifth fret - my hand was trying to do all sorts of things!

Derek Yes, it is funny to observe how trained we are in doing the "normal" things on the fretboard, more or less automatically. Even with a low D on 6th string (if you play pieces with such "semi-normal" tuning). But then, with other tunings, you need to "think" while playing, have to be aware of specific fingerings/frets/movements etc. But overall, it is a good exercise (for me).
Fun fact: I started playing that piece and was not aware of the tuning. And then, that was pretty weird and hard, as you can imagine.

- Etude you worked on: No 22 ( used Segovia ed. No 5) and No 17
- One thing you found easy: I have played No 22 before and so it was great to revisit this piece. I love the flowing nature of the piece and find the structure easy to follow, I am also working on No 17 which I have had on my list to play for some time but this is a first.
- One thing you found difficult: For some reason in No 22 I find it difficult to get a clear overall arpeggio sound bar 32 ( F# major) and legato in bar 28. In No 17 I have more work to do to bring out the melodic line and make it like a little song. I am still learning to do a recording and so i will miss out for this challenge, but hopefully ready for next time

This is, as promised, my second chance for No. 16. I tried to be more precise in the articulation, but Sor is so inventive, its hard to get it all in place,
easy: I recorded this one last week and OK, I practiced it quite a bit, (and had less time for the other beautiful studies, unfortunately.)
difficult: you have to be so concentrated and sure of the detailed articulation it is really hard to get a realexed and natural sound all through the piece.
I so much like to play it and try some more colouring. I will keep it as one of my Sor favorites, together with 17, 18, 22 (and 3)
