  • To continue on my Canadian composers music... here's the 1st prelude from the work «12 préludes en forme d'études» by Canadian composer Claude Gagnon. I hope you'll enjoy!

    • Eric Phillips Thank you Eric, this is a kind of music that is so permissive... and for this one I'm trying a Knobloch's string set.

Blaise Laflamme Such a wonderful performance, Blaise!  What a pity this beautiful music isn't better known outside of Quebec! (Toujours les 'deux solitudes'!?) We are fortunate, though, to have among us such a gifted ambassador! Grand merci!

    • David Krupka Thank you David for the kind words 🙏 I can't say how well he's known outside of Quebec, but he's like a staple here. His music is interesting both musically and «guitaristically», fun to play 😅

Blaise Laflamme Such a beautiful piece! Your presentation was amazing, Blaise, you are sounding great with this spruce guitar. In a beautiful way you bring out the color contrasts, and the 'campanelas' are a touch of delicacy. Thanks for sharing!

    • Moyses Lopes Thank you Moyses, I'm still discovering the features and subtleties of spruce (mixed with a brazilian body) and this instrument is so pleasant to play on.

    • Blaise Laflamme Just great all around... the piece, the performance, and the sound are all exceptional. The composer's name sounds familiar so I think I have some of his studies in an anthology somewhere. I'll have to go through them.
