Hello, friends! As homework for this second week, I have finished the reading process and would like to share the result with you. Next week, I will try to memorize the piece and polish the phrasing. Recorded with AKGC411 in my kitchen, I mean, in my studio... And now, time to listen to your contributions!

Georgia is a bit on the rough side, but it's a complete take. Hopefully, I can make it more presentable. Scofield puts in some tasty voicings, but some of his phrases are going to take time to figure out.

Steve Price That's so beautiful, Steve! You sound so relaxed. I love hearing all the jazzy playing from you, Jack Stewart , and Moyses Lopes . What a change of pace for this community!

Steve Price That was great, Steve. I would hardly call that rough. This is one of this nest fingerstle versions of Georgia I have heard. Great job!
Btw, I just watched a YT of Uros Baric perform this version. He has filmed it straight with a full view the fingerboard if you want to refer to it for fingerings. Though I didn't notice anything missing in your playing.

Eric Phillips Thanks, Eric. I really appreciate it. And I like the variety around here. I hear something new all the time and that always keeps it interesting.

Jack Stewart Thanks, Jack. That really means a lot. I'll check out his version too. There are some tricky spots so it'd be nice to see how someone else handles them.

Steve Price Very nice, Steve! Such 'jazz' arrangements of the old standards really work well on nylon strings. And I'm impressed that you've learned it the 'old-fashioned' way. Bravo!

Steve Price Lovely! What an interesting arrangement. We have a regular local guitar soirée, and our host is almost 100 years old. He no longer plays his guitar for us, but he plays a beautiful clear harmonica. He played Georgia on my Mind for us last month. One of our members is working up a duet to accompany him for our next meeting. A memorable tune!

Stefanie Mosburger-Dalz Great, you're in a good way! Maybe you can try a more flexible pulse, not a rigid beat, to obtain a more cantabile melody. Good to hear you!

Stefanie Mosburger-Dalz That is coming along wonderfully, Stefanie. I agree with Moyses, you have everything there, now you can focus on making it sing. This is a big project (I have never played it) but you are doing great. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Stefanie Mosburger-Dalz Great work you've done so far on this, slow movement doesn't mean easy... and it's never easy with Barrios! I agree with both Jack and Moyses, once you're comfortable with note values your playing will benefit a lot from adding flexibility to the phrases.

Stefanie Mosburger-Dalz Nice start Stephanie. Have you checked out Tal Hurwitz’s Tonebase course on La Catedral? I found it very helpful. It’s such a challenging piece, but I love it!

Marilyn Blodget thank you for mentioning! I have wheekly sessions with Roman Viazowskij, and he wants me to play it exactly without ornament or any musically additions etc, we tried to find fingerings that fit for me. I avoided by purpose to look the tutorial, I will check it out next time- parallel I learn choro 1 and I saw Bruno playing- totally different to my playing of the second part, and it is the culture, it is the rhythmical background. So interesting!
