Since this piece is relatively short, would it be possible to discuss, measure by measure, the best ways possible to keep the flowing "legato" melody going?

Would love to see Xuefei sharing her tips in conquering the first few measures - the difficult barre. Those are the most challenging bars of music in the entire piece.

Xuefei plays all of the sixteenth notes that occur in the melody voice without slurs. Is there a reason or opinion about that?

I just watched this excellent lesson. One thing that has always confused me about this piece is that even though it is written in 3/4 the accompaniment in the John Williams performance always sounds more like 6/8 and so did Xuefei's performance. Is this just me or has anyone else had this feeling.

This guitarist's commentary is so good - word choice is really stunning for someone whose 1st language is not English. She seems to hit all the crucial points. I'm inspired to learn this piece. Was played during slide at a funeral today. Her instruction clenched it
for me. I'm doubly motivated to learn it. I'm off for the summer and ready!
