What livestreams would you like to see on tonebase?

Dear Martin, 

from my behalf I would love to see a livestream about posture and the proces of transitioning from a traditional footstool to a guitar rest such as Ergoplay or Guitarlift.

Also, finger yoga with Dale Kavanagh would be wonderful.

I pretty much know where the notes are on the fretboard, seems the hard part for me is getting the fingering and timing ie hand technique on the higher level pieces. Prehaps a path to hand technique patterns/ exercises to get quicker at playing the more complex pieces. Are there any shortcuts? As it takes so long to get a nice legato and speed, lol!

I would love to see another livestream with Borbala Seres. She is such a fantastic guitarist. I learn so much from the courses and livestreams she has made here.

How about a course on Sanz - Españoleta at a more advanced level than the excellent course by Peter Granies?

I think it could be really interesting to invite maybe a 7-string guitarist to talk about more traditional Brazilian styles (like choros) and the improvisational aspects of the genre. This could appeal to many fans of Brazilian guitar music in general, and it would be cool to see if we could incorporate some of it into our own playing—especially when comping in chamber music—while still remaining (semi)classical? I hope this makes as much sense to you as it did in my mind 
 

I particularly enjoyed the lessons from Douglas Lora, for example, who touched on this topic as well. I found it both really fun and informative!

Classical guitar makers / builders

I would watch anything involving Stephanie Jones, Ana Vidović, Tengyue Zhang, Antigoni Goni - all very inspiring and interesting to listen to. Having said that, all the contributors to Tonebase Guitar are inspiring and interesting, and all their contributions are welcome and gratefully received.

I have watched several livestreams from other instruments perspectives on pieces that are also part of the guitar repertoire that I found really informative: Matt Haimovitz on Bach's Cello Suites (preludes 1 and 3), Vijay Gupta, violinist on Bach's Chaconne. 

Stephen Goss is always informative and appreciated.

I find different practice routines and technical lessons valuable.

Hi Martin,

For me, I would love to see livestreams, from any guitarist, that go through a piece, like explaining the backgroud/context, analyzing the score and explain the score by using music theory, and highlight the technical difficulties and how to get over them, and etc.

Basically more like an online class to teach a piece. I believe that what would benefit me the most.

Just my 2cents.

Ricardo Gallen about his method of studying a piece. I think it would be very informative to hear his method. I know he subdivides every movement of both hands very precisely. Did Joaquin Clerch inspire it, or he inspired Joaquin Clerch? I find it very related to the Carmine Caruso method. 

How about a course on Arranging Movie themes/Popular music for Solo Classical guitar.

Perhaps someone like David Jaggs , who has done this type of work, could be invited to do a livestream(s) for us.  Thanks!

I find the masterclasses with Tonebase members very very instructive - not only do the members bring focus to the challenges we all face, but also masterclasses bring out the interpretive and expressive challenges in addition to the technical ones.  Pavel Steidl has some of his own on YouTube, as well as very expressive performances.
