Studio 13 - Opus 31 - F. Sor

I took on Emmanuel Sowicz class on the piece and this came from my interpretation of it, needs some more work for sure but good as a practice piece

  • Good work so far! This is such a great little piece. It’s a lot more difficult than it seems. There are a lot of awkward fingerings that make it hard to play legato. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to hearing your progress.

    • Thanks Blaise Laflamme for your words. Having recorded is great for noticing things that otherwise I wouldn’t- the fingering choice is very important for good transitions - I needed more memorization as well for those to appear cleaner.  Thanks Jack as well, nice to see . Eric Phillips  thanks for your kind words, in retrospect, I would go for less use of arpegio chords in keeping up with the tempo better, as well as more memorization for smoother transitions.

Great work, Carlos. This is a nice piece which, as Eric noted, is not easy. I am looking forward to seeing your progress,

  • Carlos Calderon  Nice work Carlos. This is indeed an easy sounding music to the ears but far from easy to play, that's Sor's approach to music it seems 😅. Are you a left hand player or the video is reversed?
