    As I did last week, I have notated the two Villa-Lobos excerpts to help me learn and practice them.  I've attached them here in the hope they might be helpful to others. Please feel free to offer corrections or changes that might help.  I have found both exercises to be challenging but very effective.  Playing the combined pattern in each position is a brain twister for sure!

      BTW, I think the VL Etude#7 pattern should maintain the pick up measure since the pattern moves up on the repeat of the pick up.

      Actually, I'm not sure how to write it w/o writing out the full pattern as it moves up (at least the first time w/ a comment that the ascend repeats.)

    • Jack Stewart Thanks Jack.  Yeah, I wasn't sure how to note that anacrusis as it moves up each time.  I think your suggestion to do it at least on the first time make sense. Hopefully, folks will practice with the video in front of them. ☺️

    SANEL REDŽIĆ  Here is my status on this exercise at 84 bpm.  To save time I excluded the repeats.  This is my first and only take and already see some issues that require attention. I will try to increase speed as I gain confidence with the sequences along with metronome accuracy.

      Neil Macmillan Thanks Neil!  It's a bit tricky to concentrate on the pattern while maintaining even timing with metronome.  Great exercise!

    • Wow Barney ! You did it really amazing! Congratulations. Your right hand does it very well. Next step would be to speed it up 1 by 1 bpm up to 100 or even 120 bpm.

      SANEL REDŽIĆ Thank you for posting your Tremolo video.  I know we are past the prescribed TWI period, so it is greatly appreciated!  The subject of Tremolo is complex, but this video teaches each finger how to play tremolo independently and evenly (which many of us have problems with).  I wish we had time to delve more deeply into this topic with you.  Perhaps another time.  Thank you again for sharing your time and great advice with us!!!

      SANEL REDŽIĆ When you practice/perform Tremolo with pami, do you "plant" your "a" finger on the tremolo string at the same time you play "p" on a bass string?  As you know , some players do this and others don't.

      SANEL REDŽIĆ  Thanks for this and all of your other exercises, Sanel. I have incorporated them into my daily warm up/exercises with great effect.

      I think I would like to try to adapt the tremolo exercise for cross string trills. It looks like by removing a finger in the pattern (replacing w/ a rest) it would help with developing finger independence in the pattern and maintaining control of rhythm.

      SANEL REDŽIĆ Thanks Sanel!  I expected this answer from you, as I know you want the best  sounding tremolo, and planting  the "a" finger would cut the sound for a micro-second,
