Dale R Beatty Fantastic, looking forward to see your Diary being filled with beautiful music! But first comes the discipline, but improving your connection with your instrument via a deliberate practice routine will be very fullfilling!

  • Does anyone have an excel spreadsheet template that they can share on practice or repertoire.  I can use the tried and true paper method.  I appreciate it.

Dale R Beatty Hi Dale, here's what I used for my workshop "Organizing a Practice Routine"!

    • Martin Thank very much Martin, I need to personalize this sheet.  I used to be a whiz kid on excel but that was many years ago.  Peace, Dale

Dale, that is my goal too, deliberate practice. It is hard though….

  • Dale R  hey Dale, I personally don't have any specific detailed routine I do every day but it has at least 3 phases: warm up, learning and playing. All those phases can be from 15 minutes up to a few hours and each can have a mix of technique, exercises or repertoire. The main difference is focus and state of mind I would say.
