HOW TO BEGIN 
Select a Piece:

Raul Guzman Vidal this is an interesting idea but I think you would benefit more at this time working at a slower tempo using a metronome to ensure proper rythme, sound, fingerings and overall legato. OTOH I would suggest you to listen to Choro-style music from Jacob Do Bandolim to immerse yourself into what should be in your head when you play it, guitarists mostly play HVL like they would play Spanish music but it must be much more lighter and dancing IMHO. Keep the practice you're progressing well!

Blaise Laflamme Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! I appreciate the suggestion to slow down and focus on the fundamentals with a metronome. I’ll definitely look into Jacob do Bandolim’s Choro-style music to get a better feel for the style. It’s helpful to know that HVL should be lighter and more dance-like—I'll keep that in mind as I practice. Thanks again for the encouragement and guidance!
