Mozart on guitar

I was trying to look for this Mozart sonata on youtube. It was a piece I heard from an anime and I found this. All I can say is wow.  If I didn't know it was a piano piece I would say it is perfect on the guitar. I later found out he has an album called Children's corner. Now listening to it and I'm sure there are more gems to be discovered. I hope he releases the transcriptions one day.

Wai this is one of my favorite. I actually bought the music sheet years ago. This is one of my guitar goal. But unfortunately years later, I can still only play the first variation..:-)

Here is version by Emre Sabuncuoğlu - not nearly as good. He does have his transcription available for $21 thru Los Angeles Guitar Academy

This is K 547 1st mov. available from Strings by mail (full sonata).

Here is a pretty impressive performance of Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca

(Bill Kanengiser also has a great version)

The Guitar Shed (Alan Matthews) has a transcription of Rondo... for free I believe.

David Yes, that is the piece though I don't know if it is the same or comparable transcription to the one used by Kanengiser or by Vera Danilina.  I just noticed that LAGA has a transcription for $15. It would be worth checking out Allan Matthews since it is free knowing that the LAGA would probably be very good.

Jack Stewart wow, that's a lot,  the one by Emre Sabuncuoglu is actually quite good too. It just works on the guitar but I guess it had to be play at a slower tempo than on piano because of the limitations of the instruments.

Didn't know of Rondo Alla Turca on guitar! That works well too but I get tired looking at them play, looks really difficult. 🙂
