    Hey guys,

I found the  20 studies on SCRIBD. com.  You need a subscription, but you can get a free trial for 30 days.   Hope this helps.

  • Hello Martin,

That was a great class on Garcia de Leon's studies. Like you, I had never even heard of him until he began to be featured here in Tonebase. What great pieces! Like you say, they are a great complement to Brouwer's Estudios Sencillos. One thing that I particularly like about them is the titles and dedications he gives to each one, which are not only interesting, but useful for interpretation and imagery while playing.

I hope you don't mind, but I am submitting videos I made of the first three studies which you taught. I guess I'm missing not having the Sergio Assad challenge anymore to keep me busy! I don't expect any feedback, but I just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying them and how much I appreciate all the help you gave me through your presentation.

Eric Phillips This is so cool, Eric! Glad, that you enjoyed those pieces! Did you have a chance to watch Bill's releases on some of the later studies? Looking forward to having a great time with you during the Carcassi Challenge!

    • Martin Thanks, Martin. Yes, I did watch Bill's videos on the later studies. I've been playing number 18 (Luciernagas) for about a week now. That is so fun to play, and really easy to memorize for some reason. I will probably put a pause on these studies for now, though, so I can concentrate on the Carcassi.
