Event by Team

The Lágrima Challenge comes to a close: three weeks of the whole community learning Tárrega's little teardrop together, step by step through the new Lágrima Track. In this Watch Party we'll feature recorded submissions from across the community: full run-throughs, single phrases that finally sang, and first recordings of a piece many of us have loved for years. We'll hear what the Track made easier, what still fights back, and celebrate every bar that made it across the line. Whether you posted a video, said hello in Week 1, or cheered from the sidelines, you're welcome. Join us live on November 6, 5pm CET.

The challenge  for me is the C# in the bass on beat 3(4), measure 6. I always get a wolf overtone if I play the C# too agresively. Does anyone experience that?

Hi, Jonathan, I haven’t noticed that harmonic… Have you tried playing C sharp on strings 3, 0, 2 and 1? You might get a different result… At least, the timber will be slightly different. Cheers

That's what I do, and it seems I can play it so much cleaner than moving to the higher register. The 2 works well as a guide finger down to the following b and a#. The only difference is that I play the first b with 3 and the g# with 4.
