We have all heard of the late and great Roland Dyens and his infamous arrangements, especially "A Night in Tunisia" and Piazzolla's "Estaciones Porteñas" to name a couple. Alongside these incredible compositions from the Americas, Dyens ingeniously arranged 26 popular French songs for solo guitar. In this livestream, we will listen and compare these arrangements with the actual recordings of the French songs and discuss musical and technical challenges involved in playing two specific ones.

Watched the replay - loved it! I haven't been exposed to much French music, so this was lovely and sent me down a rabbit hole.

James Steadman check also Francis Kleynjans or if you want more easy approach Thierry Tisserand, I love the way french guitarrists arrange or compose- its really "charmant"
