Hi George. So you put it on your guitar each time you play?  I haven’t ever seen someone use a temporary one so am interested.  My last 2  have had permanent arm rests?

Thomas Viloteau (tonebase instructor) makes one called "le support" https://www.lesupport.co/en it is very secure but large and somewhat cumbersome. But if you don't mind the size it's very adjustable and very solid

I like the Abel armrest. It is removable and supports a relaxed right hand position.

I use the Abel armrest also.  Like it a lot.

I also use the Abel armrest, but have modified it by puting leather and a  thin foam on top of the armrest.

May I ask you for what reason you want to add an armrest on your guitar; sound, comfort, weight, look, ...?

I've wondered myself so I found this.

I started using mine for comfort.  I found the curved feature to be more comfortable than the edge of the guitar.  I also find that it helps me to have consistency in my right arm placement. It takes just a few seconds to attach, and I take it off after I am finished.  I think that using the armrest along with my Guitarlift enhances the tone a little.

Wow! Thank you for all the great responses. Yes I am interested in one that can be removed and, hopefully not too cumbersome. My reason for getting one is two-fold.

I do notice a difference in the sound when my arm is lifted off of the top of the guitar and I have been experiencing some tendonitis in my right hand. Mostly the pinky. I'm not sure if the edge of the guitar is putting pressure on a nerve.

I figured I would give it a try. The Abel arm rest was one I was considering but thought it was a bit large. After hearing some of the comments I might give it a try. Thank you!!!
