Aquila Alabastro Strings - 19C

Has anyone here ever tried these strings ?

Wondering about how these "Nylgut" trebles sound and feel...

Thanks!

I use them. I think they sound and feel excellent. I also find that they break in faster than a lot of other brands that I've tried.

Jason Bertke Thanks Jason!  Do you feel they have a nice brightness and sustain in the trebles?

Good sustain. The Alabastros aren't the brightest strings Aquila makes. That would be the Sugars, which were too bright for my taste - almost as bright as a steel string guitar. Overall, the Alabastros have a warmer sound. The trebles sound good to me. Not too bright, but just right for me. Of course, taste is very subjective, so what I like could be a lot different than what you like. I believe they have sound samples of all of their strings on their website. It never hurts to give the strings a try. If you don't like them, you can always take them off. But the Alabastros are my go-to strings.
