Steve Goss: Fingerprints of Style - Astor Piazzolla

Hello everybody, I am pleased to welcome back our dearest professor Steve Goss with a fascinating webinar on Astor Piazzolla! 💃

In Piazzolla’s centenary year, we take a close look at his musical style - tracing the journey through his training and exploring his influences. We look at how his distinctive form Nuevo Tango developed and examine the key features of the style. We'll also talk about performance practice - how should we approach Piazzolla’s music as interpreters?

So if you're interested in diving deep into the intricacies of Piazzolla's Music, we highly recommend to take the chance and experience Steve's expertise LIVE!

Thank you for this great workshop!  Agustin Carlevaro was a friend of Piazzolla and transcribed dozens of his works.  Piazzolla is quoted in the newspaper El Pais in Montevideo saying “Agustin Carlevaro has invented a completely new way of utilizing the guitar in the tango…His versions of my pieces seem to me stupendous.”
