Gender balance in "Top 10 Classical Guitar Composers" - blog post

It's interesting to notice that Rosie Bennet has balanced the total masculine domination of her list of 10 composers with performances by 10 women. I can only imagine this to be on purpose.

Without making any attempt to argue for or against her choice of composers, which to my mind has no real surprises, it might be nice to nudge the gender tendencies a little. Heike Matthiesen has been compiling lists of women composers to help us choose more balanced repertoire for our concerts and students:
