The Old White Owl - Daniel Oman

I'm sharing with you a short piece from the collection «Tales from The Guitar Garden» by Daniel Oman, I discovered his musical universe last fall... But I also wanted to try out a new pair of microphones, and I had this music under my fingers!

Thanks for listening!

  • This is excellent, Blaise. I wish I had the ear to appreciate the new mics, but your stuff always sounds great.

Do you do any EQing or any other processing? It might be my room, but both of my guitars sound kind of boxy if I don't scoop the mids a little.

    • Steve Price Thanks Steve, sure I do a bit of EQ, mostly Lo/Hi pass and sometimes some frequencies, add a bit of reverb and sometimes a little bit of a compressor and limiter... really depends on the mics, the room, the strings and the music. These mics (SDC) are more precise and detailed than the OC818 (LDC) I was using for the last year, and they pick less room than my KM184... really great so far!

  • Gorgeous tone and a fun piece beautifully played!  Thanks for sharing.  I might add it to my “bird” repertoire😃
