Olli Olli, this is amazing! What a massive undertaking that you are doing so well with. Both the Fugue and Allegro are really challenging and you are well on your way to having the down. I really look forward to hearing your progress on these. Great job!! and very inspiring!

Jack Stewart thank you for your Kindly words - I am also happy about the progress and hope to make a final recording in the last week of the challenge - when all notes are grown under the fingernails ! 😉

    • Olli Incredible, Olli! Great sound on the recording. I love your dynamics and variations in tone color. That piece seems like an real workout, like trying to keep up with a speeding train.

    • Olli It is really great to see your work on 998 - what an accomplishment.  The ornamentation works well in my opinion.

    • Olli impressed, Olli. You definitely worked hard on these pieces. Nice ornaments. Your tempo is already close to an allegro, and, as Eric said, it’s  some kind  of a work out, so, yes,  impressive performance indeed.

      Eric Phillips "speeding-train" - yes - that`s it 😂.

I am so happy that my left Arm is/has recovered and don't blames me any more when playing stretches and power consuming passages - 😉

Rick Lord I hope the ornamentation will still work when the Allegro becomes faster...

joosje I am not sure if the ornaments still work in higher tempi - maybe I will skip some ornamentation if it becomes faster 🥵

  • BWV 1007 Courante

Just getting this in before week 3. Here is the current state of the Courante, which for me, is the most difficult of the 7 movements of the Cello Suite.  At this point, I am still focusing on connecting several phrases more evenly.  More isolated practice of the some of the quick shifts will continue as will seeking to eliminate some of the fingernail noise - but there's a lot happening in the right hand!

    • Rick Lord This is incredible, Rick. If this is the most difficult movement, it doesn't show when you play. Your articulation really makes this one dance along so nicely. As always, you just draw me into the beauty of the what Bach wrote.

Rick Lord Another outstanding performance, Rick! Your phrasing, articulation and tone are all beautiful. And from watching you play this, it must be very easy 😉. You are so relaxed throughout. A real inspiration.
