Adam Levin returns to tonebase with another repertoire lesson, offering insights into one of Antonio Lauro's most renowned Venezuelan Waltzes. He introduces us to the "bambuco" rhythm that underlies the entire work, empowering us to afford a much needed folkloristic flair to the piece.

He also discusses the origin of the work, the reason behind it being named after Lauro's grandson, the accents and hemiolas that are not explicitly written into the score yet must still be understood for an informed performance, and technical tips allowing us to perform the music with an awareness of its style.
