Some things that would be good to know- from scratch. Settingup the iPad for music

how to get the pages to scroll, does one need a notation software or has I pad got something already in it that does all this. Organising the sheet music, ie establishing filing order, probably all very basic stuff, and may not be what you were thinking. In general would like  to be able to use my iPad efficiently and effectively as I already have a lot of music scores stored on mine, thanks looking forward to learning on this topic, cheers Deb

I would also like to know how to set up an iPad to record videos. I have just acquired an iPad but haven't been successful in getting it to record using an Apogee mic (USB) and Filmic Pro software. I use this set up on my iPhone without problems.

A few things I would be happy to see discussed: (1) best way to store and organize scores; comparison of online and offline storage. (2) How to handle page turns - reliability of bluetooth devices for this purpose. (3) How to best use the iPad as a recording device for both audio and video; best external microphones and recording apps. (4) Best apps for the practice session: tuners, metronomes, etc. Thanks!

Jack Stewart David Krupka The link on the forum was leading to the PNO page, since we're streaming simultaneously on GTR and PNO today which is SO AWESOME, because you get to meet all the piano nerds in the chat! 🎹

    Thanks for the links Dominic.

Your session was very helpful for me and saved me a lot of time.

I went online www.airturn.com and ordered direct. It was helpful in deciding what hardware would be possible. They offer % discounts.

See top header on site “click for deals & coupons”

      Michael Carlson  hello Deb,

AirTurn has a drop down for products “tablet holders and stands”. The stand, holder and extension attachments can be purchased separately. A La carte They do offer

a deal  on a combo stand and holder. ( about $10 less expensive than purchasing separately )

If you buy 2 or more products there is an additional % discount.
      Good luck shopping.
