Interactive Masterclass with Emmanuel Sowicz
It's been a long time since I held an interactive masterclass! These opportunities to see and hear you play are amazingly rewarding. I look forward to sharing music together and finding ways to take your playing a step further.
As usual, there will be four spots of around 10-15min each.
Don't forget to attach scores before the class.

This will be an interactive Livestream, so let me attach all the info needed for this exciting tonebase LIVE format!
WHAT DO I NEED?
- We will use ZOOM for the interactive part of Livestream (the same piece of software ZOOM for the interactive part of Livestream (the same piece of software that we have been using for the Virtual Hangouts). While it is not necessary to download the software, I would recommend it as it runs with greater stability than the browser version. In order to have the best audio quality, you can activate the option to

I would love to present a piece for this class, Emmanuel. I would like to play "Le Romarin" by Mauro Giuliani (Op 46 No 5). As a warning, I will let you know that in this month's challenge, Hannah Murphy wrote to me about this piece, "Way to find the saddest Giuliani piece!" To me, it's more than just sad. It's tormented and fraught with angst as well! I am very curious about why Mauro chose to name this after the rosemary flower.
Attached are two scores:
- An original from IMSLP with no fingering. I think it has a mistake in measure 18. In the bass voice, I think the second A# needs to be a C#, as this fits the pattern of the entire section (and sounds better).
- A photograph of my copy with some fingerings added. I also added measure numbers, and changed the mistake I mentioned in the bullet point above.

I am looking forward to watching this masterclass. However, I will be out of town with my family the week prior and doubt I would be able to prepare anything for participation.

I think I will reconsider and ask to be considered for a spot in the masterclass, Emmanuel. I would like to present either Giuliani's op.113 Fughetta or Sor's op. 26 Variations. Whichever I decide will be focused on a specific section or variation (probably 1st var.).

Eric Phillips I played (sort of) the first half of the Giuliani in the Italy week and hope to record the entire Fughetta by Tuesday (though it will still be rough). I also hope to record Sor's op. 26 thru the 1st variation also by Tuesday. Unfortunately (well, sort of) we are hosting a party tonight and leaving for Marin County Tuesday evening until Friday. So Tuesday will be my last chance to participate in this challenge. I decided I could prepare a segment that would be of value for advice from Emmanuel by the 8th.
Using the practice diary would actually be a good option to present the finished versions. Thanks for the suggestion. - a bit of a rambling response to get to your actual request.

Hi Manny. I would like to play part of Villa Lobos Prelude No 1. The second section - marked Piu mosso. I have attached a score which contains that section to the end. I'll play the piece from the Piu mosso until the end and if there is time perhaps we could look at some more of the piece.
