I am very excited to talk with Tariq about one of the key pillars of guitar technique: Preparation!

In this workshop Tariq Harb will discuss the importance of the prepared stroke (right-hand finger planting) for good and seemingly effortless playing. In particular, he will discuss four advantages that result from this way of playing: mechanical efficiency, sensitivity of touch, accuracy and economy. Specific application of movements will be explored and demonstrated using excerpts from the standard repertoire.

Consider something like Giuliani right hand studies, number 95. Precision on the second half of the measures, the ascending arpeggios... how would Tariq suggest preparing the right hand for something like that?

It’s very frustrating as it’s not the first time I try to watch a workshop on Tonebase and it just doesn’t play properly keeps loading and loading and leads nowhere. Maybe it’s Vimeo issues?
