"Join us together with internationally acclaimed virtuoso Juan Carlos Arancibia Navarro and let us explore one of the pinnacles of every students core repertoire: the Estudios Sencillos by Leo Brouwer. Composed in 1972, the first set of etudes have been part of traditional guitar pedagogy since then. Together with Juan Carlos, who is a newly appointed guitar instructor at the "Hochschule für Musik Detmold", we will dive into the first set of five intriguing miniatures. We invite you to grab your guitar and follow us along as we discover new facets of the Estudios Sencillos by Leo Brouwer."

Giuseppe Gasparini thank you, I hope we will be returning with Juan Carlos and the remaining Estudios very soon! I did learn a lot as well about the overall conception of the first 5 studies and will look at them from a different view :)

Thouroughly enjoyed these workshops with Juan Carlos. He seems a patient and passionate teacher. Cant wait to hear more from him.
The greatest takeaway for me was how he talked about the conflicting directions of energy between i,m,a and p, when "closing the hand" (@ 01:41:15). This made a significant and immediate difference in my own playing.
One question about this.... would this concept about keeping the energy of the "pluck" or "stroke" in the same direction from the top/back/or rear of hand be considered "correct" technique for all rest and free strokes for all playing and tones? Should I replace this concept with my old concept of "closing the hand"?
    Any input is greatly appreciated.
