    The new Tonebase track on this Bach piece inspired me to take a serious look at it.  It took longer than usual to settle on fingerings.  I certainly need to live with this piece much longer.  I'm reading  the score through the entire piece with no memorization which is not my usual way.  Need to find a better learning approach on Bach pieces and figure that out.  Anyway, here is my current status.

       This is a really good 'read thru', Barney. I realize this is probably not actually a read thru but still very early in the learning process. Your command of this piece is very good at this point. Your tone is always inspiring.

      I saw this TB Track and intend to use it to try (yet again) to work on this piece. Your posting is inspiring me to take it up after this challenge (I am scrambling to get a posting down before the end).

       Fantastic work on this Barney, it already sounds solid and the flow is mostly there! For sure this is the kind of work that needs some time to integrate, a few weeks is not enough, same for the memory! 💪

       That's excellent. Really well played, and it already has such a flowing feel. I agree with Jack that the sound is really good. I still haven't messed with the tracks yet, so I'll have to check them out.

       Great read through Barney. I love this piece and have attempted it several times (separated by years!). Must use the TB Track to give it yet another go and final settle on the fingerings that work for me!

       Thanks Steve!  I watched the lesson Track for this piece, which suggested easier fingerings.  However, I used different fingerings which I feel creates a better flow of certain lines and sound.

       Nicely done. Such a great piece and you are well on the way to mastering it. CARLEVARO has a nice edition of the Prelude, Fugue and Allegro. You might want to check it out for some fingering ideas.

    Leo Brouwer - El juego de los abalorios

    The English equivalent is The Glass Bead Game, and it was written after the Hermann Hesse novel of the same name. There are still things I want to work on, but I'm very happy with where it is for now.

       Wow!  This blend of Argentine syncopated tango rhythm with its atmospheric effect by Piazzola is amazing on guitar delivered by your hands, Dale.  Bravo!

        Thanks! The title does translate to the "Tango of the Dawn" which refers to the death and rebirth of Maria from Piazzolla's operetta.
