I have Matt's method book on ami scales and in it he talks about doing a right hand stroke that's not quite a rest stroke and not quite a free stroke. If I'm remembering correctly he jokingly called it a "frest" stroke. Could you ask him to demonstrate and teach it to us?
If I am able to ask a second question it would be this: My weakness in doing ami scales is all in the right hand, I'm just not very good at playing ami very fast. Do you have practice tips for developing that or was it just a natural movement you?

I would like to second Dean's request. Would be great to see Matt's right hand in slo-mo and a deeper dive into right hand technique. Tips are always welecom :)

lund1 I agree, it will be great to hear his thoughts on the right hand in person. You may already know this, but a few years back youtube added a slow motion function to their video player and there are many videos of Matt online that you can slow down. The Strings by Mail lessons have closeups of his right hand.

Hi Mircea, can you ask Matt his opinion on whether playing electric guitar influences his classical playing for the better...or does he have to resist the technical/musical aspects of electric guitar playing when playing classical repertoire? Cheers and keep up the great work on here! Jon

I have seen a video somewhere where Matt is waring some kink of bleu nail protectors on his righthand nails. could you ask him what they are, if he likes them and where to get them.
